Compatibility
Use your own World multi-language Crackdown disc as ISO, XISO or extracted folder. The README specifies Windows 10/11 x64, AVX2 and FMA3, DirectX 12 and the Visual C++ x64 Redistributable.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
A Windows player/setup workflow is documented, with Proton reports for Linux and Steam Deck rather than native builds.

The latest non-prerelease GitHub release observed is v1.2.1. A release does not establish stability, complete gameplay or tested platform support.

Known limitations
Proton reports do not establish a native Linux port. Windows can block the unsigned program with error 0xc0e90002; the README records that issue. Check provenance and OS guidance rather than disabling security protections broadly.

Getting started
Follow SETUP.md and the official launcher to select the supported local disc data. Keep the generated installation and saves backed up before updating. Any Crackdown 2 beta content is a separate input requiring its own files, not included with the first game.

Some projects require files from your own copy of the original game. Follow the official instructions.
