About this project

This community Linux fork builds on ondrejeder/Driveclub-pc-wrapper, GR2fork and shadPS4. Its Linux launcher uses SDL3 and Dear ImGui; building the emulator for Linux does not turn the PS4 game into a native recompilation.

Compatibility

The release requires AVX2 (x86-64-v3), a system Vulkan driver and glibc as recent as Fedora’s. Only Bazzite with AMD RX 6750 XT under Wayland is reported tested; NVIDIA, X11 and other distributions remain untested.

Known limitations

The Linux guide reports missing motion blur, frequent depth-copy warnings and a settings window without HiDPI awareness. If folder dialogs fail, paths can be typed manually. Windows performance figures in the inherited README are not Linux benchmarks.

Getting started

Use the official AppImage with your own CUSA00093 base game, adjacent 1.28 update folder and PS4 sys_modules from your console. Neither game nor firmware is included. The Linux guide documents the launcher and default data directory ~/.local/share/shadPS4.
