Compatibility
Use your USA Rev 1 or supported Europe En/De or Fr/It ROM. Windows 10/11 x64 requires D3D12 or Vulkan; Linux needs glibc 2.34+ and Vulkan. .z64/.n64/.v64 byte orders are accepted.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
The guide documents three ROM revisions, language differences and widescreen rendering. Regional single-player differences remain those of the original editions.

Known limitations
Version 1.0 can run at double speed with the game’s High resolution setting in fullscreen on high-refresh monitors; use Low there. The README says 1.1+ handles this automatically. Rumble and controller remapping are not implemented.

Getting started
Extract the Windows ZIP and run ISS2000Recompiled.exe with its DLLs, or run the official Linux AppImage. Select your supported ROM and configure graphics. Saves/settings use APPDATA/iss2000recomp on Windows or .local/share/iss2000recomp on Linux.
