About this project
PC Enhanced forks Chris Hardin’s Silent Hill Native PC Port at crossplatform-beta. It builds from decompiled C with PsyCross, not static recompilation. It is a distinct unofficial fork, unaffiliated with the upstream project; support belongs in this fork’s Issues.

Horde Mode adds wave survival in Old Silent Hill with loot and an inter-wave reward shop, isolated from campaign saves. Other documented additions include ammo/health HUDs, enemy health bars, weapon selection, camera feedback, item notifications and independent difficulty settings.

Compatibility
The fork’s published package is win64 and requires the player’s Silent Hill PlayStation disc image (.bin, with .cue if available). Linux/macOS and console/mobile claims in the inherited README are upstream work-in-progress descriptions, not verified release targets for this fork.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.

Known limitations
Launcher automatic updates are deliberately disabled to avoid overwriting the fork with upstream nightly builds. The inherited README’s full-game and platform statements are not an independent playthrough/hardware test of these modifications. Source-build map DLLs must be enabled to include areas beyond the start.

Getting started
Extract SilentHillPCEnhanced-2026.10.22-win64.zip, put your disc .bin/.cue in gamedata and open SilentHillPC_Launcher.exe or SilentHillPC.exe. Get future releases from this fork rather than the official upstream nightly channel. No disc data is bundled.
