About this project
Little Planet recompiles Sonic CD’s Mega-CD code to C and supplies its own hardware/runtime layer, including both 68000s, Z80, video and audio components. It offers widescreen and an optional remastered opening.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
The README reports boot, gameplay, CD/PCM/FM audio and save states, with matching reconstruction of executable files and comparisons against an interpreter. These are project-reported checks.

Known limitations
Runtime hardware models remain part of the project; static game-code translation does not mean every console component is absent. Frame-comparison tests concern the documented Japanese version and do not certify other regions or every hardware configuration.

Getting started
Use the official package and select your disc in the launcher, or follow build.bat/buildlinux.sh/buildmac.sh with the documented Python/compiler/SDL3 dependencies. The original opening works without the optional FFmpeg/remastered-video components.
