About this project

Compatibility
Requires Windows 10 or 11 64-bit, an SSE4.2-capable processor, Direct3D 12 graphics with current drivers and your own Xbox 360 ISO or folder containing default.xex. A controller is recommended; keyboard mappings are on the launcher Controls page.

Release v0.1.6 removed the older AVX2 CPU requirement. The native game uses Direct3D 12; the launcher’s Direct3D 11 interface does not reduce the game requirement to Direct3D 11. No native Linux/macOS support is established in the reviewed guide.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
Release v0.1.6, published on 21 October 2026, also fixes a launcher crash while switching languages quickly. Earlier v0.1.5 notes add Portuguese/Spanish launcher text and fix a World Cup training-drill crash. A release is not an end-to-end tournament test by AllRecomps.

Known limitations
The v0.1.6 notes report frame-rate drops in pre-match scenes, replays and celebrations at both 1440p and 4K. Older/low-end PCs can lag. Downloadable packages are unsigned; this catalog’s source review is not an executable security audit.

Getting started
Download the official setup executable or portable ZIP from Releases. Setup installs the app and opens the launcher; portable users extract the entire ZIP and run Launcher.exe. Select or drop your ISO/game folder into the launcher, wait for its checks and press Play. No game data is supplied.

Installed builds keep saves, settings, logs and shader cache under Documents/2014 FIFA World Cup Brazil; portable builds keep them beside the app. Updates are offered at launch, checked against release checksums and can be disabled in Settings → Data → Check for updates.

Developer builds need your extracted game plus Visual Studio 2022 C++/Windows SDK, LLVM/Clang, CMake 3.25+ and Ninja. The guide requires both Release and RelWithDebInfo SDK configurations before generating game code and building the launcher.
