About this project
BM64Switch adapts RevoSucks/BM64Recomp through N64Recomp and N64ModernRuntime. It replaces the desktop RT64 renderer with libultraship Fast3D over OpenGL and uses an ImGui settings menu specific to this Switch port.

Compatibility
Use a Switch with Atmosphère and your own Bomberman 64 USA ROM. The runtime accepts .z64, .n64 and .v64 byte orders and validates/copies the ROM on first launch. Other game regions are not documented as supported.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
Official v1.0.0 provides NRO and NSP packages. The maintainer shows real Switch OLED photos and documents sound, saves, rumble and PT-BR menus plus 33 Adventure conversations; this records the project’s evidence, not a new AllRecomps console test.

The latest non-prerelease GitHub release observed is v1.0.0. A release does not establish stability, complete gameplay or tested platform support.

Known limitations
Album/applet mode lacks enough memory: launch NRO in title override. Code mods do not work because this homebrew cannot create executable memory. First-time shader compilation can hitch; graphical stage/world titles remain English even with Portuguese enabled.

Getting started
For the NRO route, copy the official BM64Recompiled NRO to sdmc:/switch/ and start Homebrew Menu in title override by holding R while opening a game. Put your USA ROM under sdmc:/switch/bm64recomp/, sdmc:/switch/ or the SD root.

Press Minus for settings and choose General → Language for PT-BR. Saves, settings, logs and shader cache share sdmc:/switch/bm64recomp/ across NRO/NSP; back up this folder before updates. NSP installation has separate requirements described in the official guide.

Some projects require files from your own copy of the original game. Follow the official instructions.
