About this project
The Xbox build 2342 decompilation is compiled for the target CPU. On Switch its Direct3D 8 rendering is translated to deko3d, rather than running the game in a general Xbox emulator.

Compatibility
The Switch build requires Atmosphère-compatible homebrew and full-memory title mode. The source data is an Xbox ISO/XISO or supported extracted maps; PC Custom Edition maps are an additional documented feature, not a substitute for the required base data.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress

The README reports campaign checkpoints and saves, split-screen, system-link/internet multiplayer and gyro aiming. These are maintainer feature reports; AllRecomps has not tested campaign completion, networking or performance.

Known limitations
Bink movies are skipped. Custom Edition maps on Switch need a 512 MB memory window; the console may allocate only 256 MB, which the main menu reports. The maintainer suggests restarting when this happens.

Getting started
Extract the official Switch release into /switch/halo/ and retain both halo.nro and halo_guest.elf. Add your Xbox disc image as halo.iso; first launch extracts maps and can take several minutes.

Keep save/ and config.toml across updates. Use the project’s release package rather than treating its Android or PS5 packages as Switch builds.

Some projects require files from your own copy of the original game. Follow the official instructions.
