About this project
ssrecomp translates SoulSilver’s ARM9 game code while retaining melonDS components for ARM7 and DS hardware. It is a hybrid execution model, not a claim that every DS component has been recompiled.

Compatibility
Use your own USA SoulSilver .nds ROM. Linux is the tested native path, macOS builds are documented and Windows gameplay is explicitly untested. Support does not extend automatically to HeartGold or other Pokémon titles.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
Linux gameplay testing and macOS builds are documented; Windows gameplay is explicitly untested. The ARM7/hardware layer remains hybrid.

The latest non-prerelease GitHub release observed is v0.4.2. A release does not establish stability, complete gameplay or tested platform support.

Known limitations
A successful Windows build is not a gameplay test. The ARM7/hardware emulation layer remains part of the runtime; performance and accuracy should be evaluated on the documented build rather than inferred from the word recompilation.
