Compatibility

Use your own original Star Fox Adventures disc. The maintainer reports Windows, Linux and macOS testing. Aurora’s underlying iOS/Android capability is explicitly not a planned Foxhollow release and is excluded from the target list.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.

Development progress

The maintainer describes the desktop versions as fully playable. That remains an attributed statement and does not extend to mobile platforms or every mod combination.

The latest non-prerelease GitHub release observed is v1.0.24. A release does not establish stability, complete gameplay or tested platform support.

Known limitations

Debug builds start without sound by default; the documented M toggle enables it. Replacing assets and patching functions is supported, but introducing entirely new models/animations/game objects has no easy path. The port aims to preserve original behavior, including bugs.

Getting started

Use the official launcher linked at foxhollow.dev and supply your disc according to its guide. Developers can clone recursively and build with CMake 3.25+, Ninja and C++20, then start foxhollow with the disc path. Keep save backups before updates or mods.
