About this project

The GameCube game is built from the zeldaret/tww-derived decompilation with Aurora. The Switch installation section documents a deko3d renderer; this is a source-based port rather than a general-purpose emulator.

Compatibility

The documented discs are USA GZLE01 and Europe GZLP01, revision 0. Supply an uncompressed ISO and the matching regional build. RVZ, GCZ, CISO and NKit are not accepted directly by this Switch setup.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.

Development progress

The maintainer reports booting and playing on Switch with audio, controllers, memory-card saves and options. Manual coverage focuses on the opening island and selected areas; automated Mac sweeps do not establish full Switch campaign validation.

Known limitations

The Switch does not maintain a stable 30 FPS everywhere. Missing cached shaders can temporarily hide effects while compiling. The README also retains an older no-binaries statement despite its regional Switch package instructions; check the current official release contents.

Getting started

Follow the regional package/build instructions and place the NRO, shader caches and your GZLE01.iso or GZLP01.iso under /switch/switchwaker/. The documented space estimate is about 1.6 GB plus growing caches.

Launch homebrew in full-memory title mode rather than album applet mode. Back up native/user/USA/Card A before updating; replace only the NRO and documented cache files.

Some projects require files from your own copy of the original game. Follow the official instructions.
