About this project
The original PS4 executable runs through a loader/runtime that replaces system libraries, while the shadPS4 video core translates GPU commands and shaders to Vulkan. This is a game-specific compatibility approach, distinct from translating console CPU code into new C++ ahead of time.

Documented features include render resolution up to 4K, higher-quality shadows, FXAA/TAA/FSR 3.1/DLSS options, SDL3 controllers, touchpad emulation and DualSense gyro. The launcher can offer updates and keep saves/settings; these options are documentation claims, not a site hardware test.

Compatibility
Requires Windows 10 1903+/11 x64, Vulkan 1.3 and the player’s unpacked PS4 game folder with eboot.bin, sce_module and sce_sys. The tested European CUSA01113 version 01.00 is the target of the resolution/shadow patches; other revisions are not established by that test.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.

The maintainer reports the opening, episode 1, Hekseville, audio and manual/automatic save/load on Windows 11 with an RTX 5070 Ti. Release 0.1.7 fixes fixed-camera framing by matching the PS4’s handling of tiny floating-point values.

The latest non-prerelease GitHub release observed is v0.1.7. A release does not establish stability, complete gameplay or tested platform support.

Known limitations
Later episodes, long-session stability and broader hardware coverage have not been systematically tested. The roadmap still lists trophies and performance/stability work as unfinished, despite some earlier feature wording mentioning trophies; complete trophy support is not claimed here.
