About this project
Static recompilation of the Xbox 360 F.E.A.R. PowerPC executable through ReXGlue, with fear-nx Vulkan rendering and game-specific runtime fixes.

Compatibility
Builds on Windows from the user’s own Xbox 360 executable and Game folder. Steam Deck is documented through Proton; the native Linux build remains untested. Optional PC texture packs also require the player’s PC copy.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
Source build documented; no published release packages were returned by the repository release API.
Source: Official project documentation — reviewed ↗ · Checked Oct 24, 2026
The latest non-prerelease GitHub release observed is v0.1.0. A release does not establish stability, complete gameplay or tested platform support.

Known limitations
No binary releases were found. Maintainer gameplay notes are short-session observations, not full-campaign certification. High-rate tracer/animation behavior, saves and ongoing F.E.A.R. Files work need their documented caveats; no FPS result is independently verified here.

Getting started
Follow the documented local build/launch scripts and provide the supported default.xex and Game files. Build optional texture packs locally and keep generated proprietary material private.
