About this project
Static recompilation of Wii U Breath of the Wild PowerPC code to native C++ on a Cafe OS runtime, adding a Windows Vulkan renderer to the upstream BotW Recompiled project.

Compatibility
Requires Windows 10/11, Vulkan 1.1 and the player’s own extracted Wii U USA game with update v208/1.5.0: code, content and meta directories. This fork documents Windows testing; Linux compilation and upstream Apple work do not establish equivalent gameplay support.

Documented support and independently tested compatibility are different. AllRecomps has not run these games.
Development progress
Source build documented; no published release packages were returned by the repository release API.

Known limitations
Work in progress with no published binary releases. Owner testing covers the opening, save loading, combat, map/fast travel and Hateno on one RTX 5060 laptop. Other areas, long sessions and DLC are untested; controller mapping/effects/cutscene text are incomplete or unconfirmed. File-replacement mods are documented but untested in game.

Getting started
Build locally using MSYS2 UCRT64, the documented GCC/CMake/Ninja dependencies and your matching U-King.rpx. Generate C++ locally and launch BotWRecomp.exe with your game folder. Saves, logs and shader cache use APPDATA/BotWRecomp by default.
